| Whatcom Creek Trail (Middle Section) / Salmon Park Take the opportunity to see this previously devastated Whatcom Creek area springing back to life. Follow the flat, wide gravel path from the trailhead (just east of the Fraser and Puget St. intersection) a short distance toward the creek. Once reaching the foot bridge you can follow the trail up or downstream along the creek and get plenty of views of the recovering stream area. The eastern route will take you past the totem poles of Salmon Park. To the west you can discover the newest part of the trail, an exciting addition in the quest to provide a greenbelt connector all the way from Lake Whatcom to Bellingham Bay. This section of the Whatcom Creek Trail is approx. 1 mile and is bordered by Woburn and Lincoln Streets.
