Chip-Timed 7 Mile Course
Start at Marine Park in the historic Fairhaven District in South Bellingham. Run 6 of the 7 miles on the scenic wooded Interurban Trail. Finish with a festive musical celebration at Larrabee State Park on Chuckanut Bay. Click here for a map of the course. Chip timing ensures times are accurate and results are quickly available to every participant.
Awards
Prize money will be awarded to the first 3 male and female finishers of the race! First place will win $150 plus a pair of New Balance running shoes, second place $75, and third will take home $50. First place male and female finishers in the Masters category will win a pair of New Balance running shoes. (These Open and Masters winners will not be eligible for the age-group awards.) To add even more fun, prizes will also be awarded to the first male and female racers to reach these three checkpoints along the route: the 1st mile marker, the top of California Street, and the far side (top) of the “dip” (by the fire station). Also, the 39th finisher will receive a prize! Male and female age-group awards start with 14 and under, then 15-19, and continue in 5-year increments to 70+.
Random Prizes
Random prizes are courtesy of our many wonderful local shops and businesses and will be plentiful. They may be won by anyone who pre-registers for the race and is at Larrabee Park for the awards ceremony. (Prizes will not be available at any other time.)
Aid Stations
Two aid stations will be on the course, each about 2.5 miles apart. These will be staffed and stocked with water and Gatorade or Gu2O sport drink. Restrooms will be at start and finish. One port-a-john will be on North Chuckanut Drive at trailhead and another will be at Cleator Road.
Photos & Results
Finish line photos will be available for purchase from Jon Brunk Photography. Online link at www.FairhavenRunners.com. Race results will be on-site and online.

Entry Fee
Adults: $20 U.S. 18 and under: $15 U.S. Includes a free New Balance technical running shirt for the first 400 registrants. (Shirts unclaimed by start of race will be distributed to other registrants at finish festivities.) GBRC member race entries are free, if member prior to race day. Because race is complimentary, no shirt is included but may be purchased for $12 (if registering with first 400). Non-member race entry fees apply on race day.

Packet Pick-up and Race Schedule
Race packet pick-up will be announced by e-mail and at www.FairhavenRunners.com. Once available, packets can be picked up prior to race day. Race day registration and packet pick-up will be at Marine Park in Fairhaven, 7 - 8:30AM. However, you’re encouraged to pre-register to receive one of the 400 free technical shirts!
- Race begins at 9AM. Awards begin at 11AM at Larrabee Park.
- Timing chips will be provided, but must be returned before leaving the finish chute or a $25 fee will be assessed.
Directions, Parking & Shuttle
- From Interstate 5, take exit 250 west and follow signs to the Bellingham Cruise Terminal. Park in designated areas only.
- Parking is available at the Bellingham Cruise Terminal and designated lots near start line. No parking at the finish. Spectators may cheer runners at the start, then ride the shuttle to the finish for all the festivities.
After the race, shuttle buses will whisk you from Larrabee back to Fairhaven, so plan to spend some time exploring the quaint shops and restaurants.
