QUICK POLL, COOL PRIZE for Helping Us Go Green

Win a free race entry, by answering three questions!

We're planning our annual races and interested in your thoughts on how to make these events environment-friendly! (The Chuckanut Footrace is Saturday, July 12 and the Waterfront 15K is Saturday, September 13.) Please send your responses to store owner Steve Roguski at runners@FairhavenRunners.com.

  1. What suggestions do you have to make local races more "green" and have a smaller carbon footprint? Make specific, usable suggestions, and we will draw winners for a free Chuckanut Footrace entry!
  2. If a "green" race were less convenient in regards to sacrifices (changes) being made, would you be more likely, less likely or equally likely to participate?
  3. What is your cool idea for a "green"* race that contributes to fun for participants and a successful mission?**

*green: less waste, compostible waste; less packaging, more recycling, reducing, reusing; alternative transportation, carbon offsets

**mission of race: large, fun community event; great race; event to showcase our place and parks and our responsibility to community and planet health; inspiration and motivator for running, walking, health
